National Librarian’s Day – Celebrating the Mentors of Knowledge

Our school came together to celebrate National Librarian’s Day, a tribute to the visionary Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, whose ideas transformed the way libraries serve people. His belief that “every reader has their book, and every book has its reader” continues to guide library services today.

We were honoured to welcome Mr. Premkumar Asogan, a motivational speaker, Journalist, Author, and Media Strategist, and Shri. Thiyaga Chemmel, Broadcast Journalist at News7 Tamil, as our chief guests. They shared inspiring stories about how libraries open doors to new worlds, from sparking a child’s first love of reading to empowering communities with information.

The celebration was alive with student contributions like heartfelt speeches and engaging debates by our talented students. More than an event, the day reminded us that libraries are not just rooms filled with books; they are places where ideas grow, imaginations take flight, and knowledge becomes a shared treasure.
