Swamy's Group of Schools recently organized a samskara event with the theme of "Kanya Vandanam," which translates to reverence for girl children. In Indian tradition, girl children are revered as Kanya, and it is necessary to revive the traditional idea of reverence for girls in a form that is acceptable in contemporary conditions. The ritual involves offering flowers, garlands, and sweets to young girls symbolising the worship of the goddess. The event was held in association with IMCTF where students offered flowers, recited slokas, and displayed thematic posters.
